FAMOUS AZERBAIJANI POETS AND WRITERS

1. Mahsati Ganjavi (1096-1160) – Skillful rubai (quatrain) master, brilliant embodiment of ideological and moral freedom of creative Eastern women, Mahsati Ganjavi is the first prominent poetess of Azerbaijan. 
 
Wide information about her life and creativity was gathered in the book named “Mahsati as she is”.
 
2. Afzaladdin Khagani Shirvani (1126-1199) – Khagani Shirvani created high artistic examples of all genres of classical Eastern poetry, established the best traditions of Azerbaijani poetry school with his ghazals and quatrains.
 
He is the author of “Shiniyya”, “The Portals at Madain” qasidas, “Habsiyya” rhymes and Tohfat-ul Iraqein.
 
3. Nizami Ganjavi (1141-1209) – The creativity of world-famed Azerbaijani poet and philosopher Nizami Ganjavi significantly influenced the development of the literature of Transcaucasia and the Middle East peoples (Persian, Turkmen, Uzbek, Kazakh, Kirghiz, Kurdish, Tajik, Indian, Afghan, etc.) with his humanity and high-level artistry. His works collected in “Khamsa” are read today with great love.   
 
Rare manuscripts of his works are kept and protected in notable cultural institution of several cities (Baku, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Tehran, Tabriz, Istanbul, London, Vatican, Paris, Tashkent, Cairo, Delhi, etc.). 
 
4. Izzaddin Hasanoghlu (XIII-XIV) – Izzaddin Hasanoghlu is the author of first poem written in Azerbaijani language in national literature history.
 
His ghazals known in Azerbaijani are “A moony charming beauty took my heart away”, “How are you, come, my Snow White”, “I wish I knew who made me madly in love” and in Persian is “My sweetheart is merciless, what should I do”. 
 
5. Gazi Burhanaddin (1369-1417) – The Divan of the prominent representative of Azerbaijani poetry, poet and thinker Gazi Burhanaddin is the first poetry divan written in our native language and kept until today.
 
"Divan" consists of 1319 ghazals, 20 quatrains and 108 tuyug (a type of quatrain).
 
6. Imadaddin Nasimi (1369-1417) - The prominent poet, thinker Imadaddin Nasimi has laid the basis of literary-philosophical poetry in the history of Azerbaijan literature, enriched national vocabulary in form and content. The poetry of the philosopher-poet was popular among the peoples of Central Asia, Turkey and Iran. 
 
His ghazals such as “Not painful”, “Allahu Akbar, hey beauty, I admire your charm”, “I suffer from your love, where are you, my beloved”, “Beauty, life is useless for me without you”, “Hey badi-saba, take my greetings to my love”, “Both worlds can fit within me, but in this world I cannot fit” are still loved by people today. 
 
7. Mahammad Fuzuli (1494-1556) – Poet-philosopher Mahammad Fuzuli is known as one of the most prominent representatives of the Divan genre in the history of Turkish literature. The poema "Leyli and Majnun", considered as the peak of Fuzuli's creativity, is one of the rare pearls of Azerbaijan and world poetry. 
 
As well as he is the author of “Bangu-Bade” ("Opium and Wine"), "Seven goblets", “Anîs ol-qalb” (“Friend of the Heart”), “Sehhat o Ma'ruz” ("Health and Sickness"), “Rend va Zâhed” ("Hedonist and Ascetic"), “Hadîkat us-Suedâ”  ("Garden of Pleasures"), Maṭla‘ ul-I‘tiqādi ("The Birth of Faith") etc. 
 
8. Molla Vali Vidadi (1709-1809) – The examples of folk poetry is more commonly encountered in creativity of Molla Vali Vidadi, one of the outstanding representatives of the XVIII century Azerbaijani poetry.
 
He is author of several goshma, garayli, bayati (types of quatrains in folk literature), ghazal and mukhammas (“Musibatname” (Story of Misery), “You will cry” etc.)  
 
9. Molla Panah Vagif (1717-1797) – Poet Molla Panah Vagif created many bright examples of syllabic meter in Azerbaijani poetry and established the literary school which is notable by his traditions.
 
He wrote ghazal, tajnis, mukhammas, mustazad, muasshara, mushaira, masnavi and elegies. 
 
10. Gasim bey Zakir (1784-1857) – The prominent satirist poet of Azerbaijan Gasim bey Zakir has been the founder of the critical realism, an expressionist of the leading thoughts and tendencies of his period. He brought many beauties of Azerbaijani language into poetry and art.
 
He is the author of stories expressed in verse such as “Malikzada and Shahsanam", "About lover and beloved", "Tarlan and messenger", "The person lost his camel", "Darvish and girl", fables such as, "Leon, wolf and jackal", "Fox and Wolf", "About treacherous friends" (Snake, came, tortoise), “About devoted friends” ("Tortoise, rodent and gazelle") etc.
 
11. Mirza Shafi Vazeh (1794-1852) - The great poet, educator Mirza Shafi Vazeh has devoted a centuries-old tradition of East poetry and has created a remarkable heritage that praises high humanism, spiritual beauty.
 
His poems, which have a special place in the development of his Azerbaijani-European literary-cultural relations, have been translated into German, English, French, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Russian, Hebrew and other languages.
 
12. Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov (1794-1847) - The great educator, well-known scientist and poet Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov established Azerbaijan's historiography with his work named “Gulistani-Iram".
 
As well as he is the author of poemas such as Riyadh al-Quds (The Holy Garden), Mishkat al-Anwar (The Cresset Niche), “Assembly of French”, “Flight of dream”, and scientific works such as Qanun-e Qodsi (The Holy Law), Asrar al-Malakut (The Secrets of Heavens), “Tahzibul akhlag” (Book of upbringing), “Eynul Mizan”.   
 
13. Ismayil bey Gutgashinli (1806-1861) – A prominent representative of 19th century Azerbaijani realist-enlightenment literature, writer, and publicist Ismail Bey Gutgashinli brought the modern prose, story genres into national literature.
 
He is the author of "Safarnama" (Story of Travel), "Rashid bey and Saadat khanum", etc. 
 
14. Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh (1812-1878) – Prominent public figure, educator Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh laid the foundations for the dramatic literary genre in Turkish-Muslim world. The Azerbaijani theater art was formed on the basis of the immortal comedies of M.F.Ahundzadeh.
 
He is the author of works such as “Eastern poema to the death of Pushkin”, “Hekayati Molla Ibrahim-Khalil Kimyagar” (Story of chemist Mullah Ibrahim-Khalil), “Hekayati Mr. Jordan Hakimi-Nabatat” (Story of doctor Mr. Jordan), “Darvish Mastali Shah Cadukuni Mashhur” (Famous magician Darvish Mastali Shah), “Sarguzashti-vaziri-khani-Lankaran” (Adventures of the vizier of Lankaran’s Khan), “Hekayati Khirsi-Quldurbasan” (Story of robbers), “Sarguzashti Mardi-Khasis (Haji Gara)”, “Story of Murafia advocates”, “Deceived Star (Hekayaati-Yusif Shah) etc. 
 
15. Khurshidbanu Natavan (1832-1897) – “Majlisi Uns” (Assembly of friends) created by outstanding poetess Khurshidbanu Natavan was art, creativity address of prominent Karabakh writers.
 
She is the author of “Flower”, "Carnation", "I will cry", "If only...", "Leave", "Without you", "I am dying" and other poems. 
 
16. Seyid Azim Shirvani (1835-1888) – Poet, enlightener, educator Seyid Azim Shirvani is one of the literary figures of Azerbaijani literature with exceptional services to develop on the basis of new requirements.
 
The literary heritage of Seyid Azim Shirvani, who has rich literary creativity, consists of two great Azerbaijani and Persian complete works. The basis of the Azerbaijani heritage consists of ghazal genre. 
 
17. Najaf bey Vazirov (1854-1926) – Najaf bey Vazirov, who founded the tragedy genre in Azerbaijani literature, played an exceptional role in the development of national drama, its ideological-artistic craftsmanship, as well as the creation and development of national theater.
 
He is the author of "From rain to rainfall", "Musibati–Fakhraddin" (Fakhraddin’s Misery), "Pahlavani–zamana" (Man of courage of our period), "Lover of money - Haji Faraj", "Beginning of the new century" and other works. 
 
18. Mirza Alakbar Sabir (1862-1911) – The poet Mirza Alakbar Sabir has given wide coverage to educative ideas in artistic creativity, criticized the public, social, scientific and cultural shortcomings of his era, and became eternal as a great satirist in the history of literature.
 
Poems of M.A.Sabir were collected by his friends in a book and printed with the name of “Hophopnama”.
 
19. Firidun bey Kocharli (1863-1920) – A prominent representative of literary criticism, translator, educator Firidun bey Kocharli has a remarkable place in the history of national literature with his irreplaceable services.
 
He is the author of “Azerbaijani literature”, “Gift to the children” and other books.
 
20. Rashid bey Afandiyev (1863-1942) – Writer, dramatist Rashid bey Afandiyev is one of the bright representatives of Azerbaijani literature.
 
He is the author of dramas such as "Blood hearth", "Beard miracle", "If you have a good neighbor, even your blind daughter will marry", "Money mad", "Value of a fringe", "Ambassadors of Tbilisi", "Toothache", "Domestic ambient in nature". 
 
21. Ali bey Huseynzadeh (1864-1940) – An outstanding representative of the Azerbaijani-Turkish public opinion of the 20th century, poet, translator, literary critic Ali bey Huseynzadeh had great services in the development of the mentioned areas.
 
The values symbolized in Azerbaijani flag with three colors are related to the “Turkization, Islamization, Modernization” theses of Ali bey Huseynzadeh. 
 
22. Jalil Mammadguluzadeh (1869-1932) – Jalil Mammadguluzadeh is a great satirist, writer, playwright, educator, and founder of the “Molla Nasreddin” literary school.
 
He is the author of works such as “Bearded child”, “Master Zeynal”, “Post box”, “Raisin game”, “Stories of Danabash village”, “Tea set”, “Dead people”, “Kamancha”, “School of Danabash Village”, “Mad’s meeting”, etc. 
 
23. Nariman Narimanov (1870-1925) – The prominent writer, publicist Nariman Narimanov wrote the first examples of novels and historical tragedy genres in Azerbaijani literature.
 
His the author of "Bahadir and Sona", "Nadir shah", “Bahadir and his son”, “Banquet”, “Shamdan bey”, “Sacred place”. 
 
24. Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev (1870-1933) – Publisher, playwright, literary critic, Honored art figure Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev has a special place in the history of Azerbaijani literature.
 
He is the author of works such as "Haji Dashdamir", "You will see the taste of goose-flesh after eating it”, "Destroyed homeland", "Poor youngster", "Pari-witch", "My deer", "Khortdan’s letters from the hell", "Sheikh Shaban", "Dream", "Hungry men". 
 
25. Mammad Said Ordubadi (1872-1950) – Honored art figure, poet, playwright, publicist, translator Mammad Said Ordubadi is the founder of the historical novel in Azerbaijani literature. 
 
He is the author of works such as “Two children’s travel to the Europe”, “Unlucky millionaire or Rzagulu khan”, "Sword and Pen", "Misty Tabriz", "Mysterious Baku", "Fighting city". 
 
26. Abbas Sahhat (1874-1918) – Numerous poems by the prominent poet, playwright, translator Abbas Sahhat, works "Ahmed's Bravery", "Poet, fairy and townsman" have a unique place in Azerbaijani literature. 
As well as he is the author of books such as “Efficiency of ignorance or happiness of one orphan”, “Poverty is not  shame”, “Sun of West”, “Oil fountain”, “Course book for teaching Azerbaijani language for 3 years”. 
 
27. Mohammed Hadi (1879-1920) – The prominent poet, publicist Mohammed Hadi played a significant role in creating Azerbaijani romanticism, development and its integration with world romanticism.
 
He is the author of poemas such as “Mood of humanity from cradle to grave”, “World of equality”, “To my Iranian brothers”, “Historical tragedies of people or renaissance” and lots of poems.
 
28. Abdulla Shaig (1881-1959) – Honored art figure, poet, writer, educator, interpreter Abdulla Shaig created beautiful examples of Azerbaijani child poetry. He has laid the foundation for national children's theater with the play "Beautiful spring".

29. Huseyn Javid (1882-1941) – The prominent representative of romance literary trends, poet, writer, dramatist Huseyn Javid is the founder of the national romantic poem and tragedy.
 
He is the author of works such as “Mother”, “Deer”, “Sheyda”, “Precipice”, “Afat” (Disaster), "Sheikh Sanan", "Prophet", "Tamerlane", "Sayavush", "Khayyam", “Knyaz”, etc.
 
30. Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli (1887-1943) – Writer, literary critic, translator Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli is a prominent representative of Azerbaijani migrant literature.
 
He is the author of works such as “Golden hair”, “Between to fires (In blood)”, “Girls’ Spring”, “Students”, “Who we are and what we want?”, “Book of one youngster”, “Hazrati-Shahriyar”, “Diaries”, “Magician”, “Receipt of Paradise”, “Bloody tears”, “Khan’s anger”, “Fall”, “Three nights”, etc. 
 
31. Ahmad Javad (1892-1937) – Poet, translator, prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature Ahmad Javad wrote the words of the Azerbaijani state anthem.
 
He is the author of books such as "Goshma", "Poems", "Do not cry, I will cry", “Wave", "Poems for freedom", etc.
 
32. Aliagha Vahid (1895-1965) – Honored art figure, poet, ghazalkhan (ghazal writer and reader) Aliagha Vahid has written many poems that glorify love to the homeland and new life.

He is the author of works such as “Shamo”, “Sachli”(Long-haired), “Father and son“, “Mehman”, “Mother and her monument”, “Caucasian eagle” ,“Mermaid”, etc. 
 
35. Osman Sarivalli (1905-1990) – People's poet Osman Sarivalli has become a favorite representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani poetry with his unique way, poetic style.
 
He is the author of books such as “My iron lines”, “Poet’s gift”, “Glory of youth”, “Gate of new world”, “From climate to climate”, “People creating tomorrow”, “Who does not live one hundred years”, “I am going to tomorrow”, etc.
 
36. Samad Vurghun (1906-1956) – The first People’s poet, translator Samad Vurghun is one of the bright faces of Azerbaijani poetry. 
 
He is the author of several poemas, works such as “Vagif”, “Khanlar”, “Epos of Baku”, “Mughan”, “Aygun”, “Flag-bearer of time”. 
 
37. Suleyman Rustam (1906-1989) - Political poetry and love poems occupy an important place in the work of People’s poet, playwright, translator Suleyman Rustam. He wrote essentially the syllabic and Aruz meters. 
 
He is the author of poems such as "Mother and postman", “Mother’s heart", "Let that day come", "Cranes", "Tabriz in my heart", "Light", "Again in the Araz’s bank", “I am sacrificed to your name", "My first love", "Wind", "Beautiful Baku", "You or me", etc.
 
38. Mammad Rahim (1907-1977) – People's poet, playwright, translator Mammad Rahim is a prominent representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani literature.
 
He is the author of “Khagani” drama, “Sayat Nova” and “Natavan” poemas, generally more than 25 books. 
 
39. Almas Ildirim (1907-1952) – The well-known poet Almas Ildirim is one of the brightest figures of Azerbaijani migrant literature.
 
He is the author of several patriotic poems such as “My captive Azerbaijan”, "Memories from mountains", "Lazgi lands", "Crimean evening", "Salimkhan", "Who is guilty?”, etc.
 
40. Mir Jalal Pashayev (1908-1978) – The writer, literary scholar Mir Jalal Pashayev had special services in the development of the 20th century Azerbaijani science and literature.

41. Mikayil Mushfiq (1908-1938) – Favorite poet, translator Mikayil Mushfiq played a special role in the development of the 20th century Azerbaijani poetry. 
 
His poems such as "I wish that garden was again ", "Sing, tar", “Mother”, “Loves” are the pearls of Azerbaijani poetry treasure.
 
42. Mehdi Huseyn (1909-1965) – People's writer, playwright, critic Mehdi Huseyn has created the first historical narrative in Azerbaijani literature with "Commissar" work.
 
He is the author of works such as “Tunnel”, “Blood revenge”, “Malice”, “Flood”, “Tarlan”, “Engagement ring”, “Scream”, “Absheron”, “Black stones”, “Ground rivers flowing into sea”, “Nizami, “Javanshir”, etc. 
 
43. Rasul Rza (1910-1981) – People’s poet, playwright, translator Rasul Rza is the founder of the unrestricted poetry tradition in Azerbaijani literature.
 
He is the author of poemas, stories and essays such as “Motherland", "Revenge! Revenge…", "Light from my window", "Feelings, thoughts", "Tolerance", "Yesterday, today, tomorrow", "To the wind", “A day is also life”, “People’s doctor”, “Immortal heroes”, “Anger and love”.
 
44. Mirza Ibrahimov (1911-1993) – People's writer, dramatist, translator, prominent representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani prose Mirza Ibrahimov's works are presented to the reader as live boards of the people's life, moral and ethical values, and important events in society.
 
He is the author of novels such as "A day in the future”, "Great support", “Moth”, plays "Khosrov Ruzbeh", "Gulabatin", "Parviz’s life", stories “Life”, “Madrid”, “Love” and in general more than 40 books.
 
45. Mirvari Dilbazi (1912-2001) – The prominent representative of Azerbaijani poetry of the 20th  century, the first woman People’s poet Mirvari Dilbazi has created colorful examples of national lyricism.
 
She is the author of "Mahsati", "Girl from Algeria", "Guerrilla Aliya" poemas, several poem books such as "When it is cold to violets", "Mother’s wing", "Mountain’s flower", "Jasmine season", etc. 
 
46. Nigar Rafibeyli (1913-1981) – People’s poet, translator, favorite representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani poetry Nigar Rafibeyli's creativity is based on the delicate love lyric, motherhood, homeland, and nature.
 
She is the author of poem books such as “Sea’s voice is coming”, “My light world”, “You are a keepsake of glorious generations”, “Victory song”, “Mothers’ voice”, “Road memories, from travel diary around Europe”, “Little hero”, “Spring is for us”, etc.
 
47. Anvar Mammadkhanli (1913-1990) – People's writer, cinematographer, translator Anvar Mammadkhanli's works has been translated into many languages of the world.
 
His plays such as “Letter from Western front”, “Mothers on roads”, “Judgment of New Year”, “Armed mountains”, “Bloody seal”, “Ice sculpture”, “Where are your from, my soldier brother?”, “Mother’s death”, “Star”, “In fire” and lyric comedy “Beauty of Shirvan” were dramatized.
 
48. Ilyas Afandiyev (1914-1996) – People's writer, dramatist, the prominent figure of the 20th century Azerbaijani literature Ilyas Afandiyev has laid the foundations of the national lyric-psychological drama with his work "You are always with me".
 
He is the author of plays such as “Willow arc”, “Bridgebuilders”, “The Khan plane tree”, “Three friends behind the mountains”, “Story of Sarikoynak and Valeh”, “Do not look back, old man”, “Letters from village”, “Light nights”, “I cannot forget”, “Ruined diaries”, “Strange boy”, “Voice from gardens” and several stories.   
 
49. Gilman Ilkin (1914-2009)  - People's writer, renowned representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani literature Gilman Ilkin created memorable works in many genres of the modern art (story, narrative, novel, script, etc).
 
He is the author of books such as “Rebellion in the castle”, “Northern wind”, “Gift”, “Daghli neighborhood”, “Sea Gate”, “Madame Gadri”. 
 
50. Ismayil Shikhli (1919-1995) – People's writer, literary critic, publicist, translator Ismail Shikhli is one of the irreplaceable representatives of the 20th century Azerbaijani literature.
 
He is the author of novels such as “Wild Kura”, “My dead world”, “Story of Doctor”, “Bullets of betrayer”, “In waters of Kerch”, books such as “History of 18th  century foreign literature”, “History of 20th century foreign literature”, “Voice of mountains”, “Yetar Aslanova”, “Do not lose me”, “Roads of front”, etc.
 
51. Aziza Jafarzadeh (1921-2003) - People's writer, literary critic Aziza Jafarzadeh has immortalized her name with her invaluable services in the literary field.
 
She is the author of novels such as “Return to motherland”, “I have voice in the world”, “Remember me”, “Baku-1501”, “From land to land”, “The tragedy of a voice”, “Before Gulistan”, “Zarrintaj-Tahira”, “Towards light”, “Disaster”, “My Rubaba Sultan”, narratives such as “Ownerless house”, “Give your hands to me”, “You are my hope”, “My dream” and several stories.
 
52. Balash Azeroghlu (1921-2011) – People’s poet, literary scholar Balash Azeroghlu has created numerous valuable works related to patriotism, national freedom ideas.
 
He is the author of books such as “Savalan”, “Story of missing girl”, “On the grave of Hafiz”, “Motherland wants such son”, “My yesterday, today, tomorrow”, “Art world of Saib Tabrizi”, “I want a rostrum”, etc.
 
53. Gulhuseyn Huseynoghlu (1923-2013) – People's writer, poet, literary scholar Gulhuseyn Huseynoghlu has become one of the favorite faces of Azerbaijan, enriching with the contemporary national literature with stories and story-like poems.
 
He is the author of books such as “In the arms of Caspian”, “Young shepherd of Poylu”, “For keeping alive”, “Throughout our lives”, “Mushfig (life and creativity)”, “Mujeri”, “People and waves”.
 
54. Huseyn Arif (1924-1992) – People’s poet, well-known poet of the 20th century Azerbaijani poetry, Huseyn Arif's distinguished natural and lively poems have been composed by numerous songs.
He is the author of several poems such as “Mothers”, “When You don’t Come to the Lessons”, “Human”, “Remember Me”, “My Heart Says “Live!””, “Is It not Poem?” and in general more than 20 books. 
 
55. Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh (1925-2009) – People's poet, dramatist, literary critic Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh has contributed greatly to Azerbaijani literature with his literary and artistic work.
 
He is the author of poemas such as "Gulustan", "Talk with Lenin", "Mugham", plays such as “Second voice”, “Conscience”, “After rain”, “Traces on road”, “Scream”, “What happens in the world”, “The sword cutting ourselves”, “Sin without punishment”, “Torture tree”, “Competence” and in general more than 70 poem books.
 
56. Hokuma Billuri (1926-2000) – People's poet, literary scientist Hokuma Billuri has established an eternal throne in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people with her poems written patriotism and national spirit.
 
She is the author of poemas such as "Sariyya" ("Immortal hero"), "Your life", "Mahin", "Under that sky", books such as "My wish", "During struggle years", "The poet’s memory", "Far from you", "Morning Sun", "I wish”, "Chinar is waiting for me", "Poems", "If spring comes", etc.
 
57. Gabil (1926-2007) – People's poet Gabil has played a significant role in promoting civic feelings and fighting spirit with his works.

61. Khalil Rza Uluturk (1932-1994) – People's poet, literary critic, translator, specific face of 20th century Azerbaijani poetry. The main line of Khalil Rza Uluturk's creativity was "Independence" and "Turkism".
 
He is the author of books such as “My Sun”, “Kindred”, “Nights longer than life”. “What happens”, “Motherland starts from me”, “37 continues”, “My hero Tabriz”, “World of Turks”, etc.

63. Məmməd Araz (1933-2004) - The main concerns and development of the 20th century Azerbaijan were widely reflected in the work of People’s poet, translator, and publicist Mammad Araz.
 
He is the author of poems such as “Mother of 3 sons”, “Araz flows”, “Rusty sword”, “My father’s book”, “I also became human”, “Ballad on soldier’s grave”, “Voice written on rocks”, and in general more than 20 books.
 
64. Yusif Samadoghlu (1935-1998) - People's writer, prominent representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani prose, Yusif Samadoglu, promotes humanistic ideas with the language of complete Azerbaijani characters.
 
He is the author of “The day of murder” novel, stories such as “Khazri”, “Forgotten promises”, “Eyes”, “Room No.220”, “Galaxy”, “Simurg”, “Cradle”, “Games of 46th year”, “Photo-fantasy”, “Astana” , “Bayati-Shiraz”, “Cold stone”, “Flowers”, “Clock is working”, “Spring in Inji valley”. 
 
65. Vagif Samadoghlu (1939-2015) - The creativity of the People’s poet, playwright, publicist Vagif Samadoglu was engraved with his innovative style and spirit.
 
He is the author of books such as “Telegrams from way”, “Tale of the Sun”, “God, I am here”, “Far, green island”, “Gurzachol writings”, plays such as “Engagement ring”, “Anxiety”, “On high mountain”, “Lottery”, “Snowball in summer”, “Man wearing green glasses”, “Last order of General”, “Dreams of Mamoy” and several poems.
 
66. Zalimkhan Yagub (1950-2016) -– Love to Motherland, commitment to nation has a significant place in creativity of People’s poet, favorite representative of Azerbaijani poetry Zalimkhan Yagub.
 
He is the author of books such as “Poet’s call”, “Motherland’s pains”, “How I can find way to your heart”, “This land is light of my eyes”, “I am a mountain river”, “Story of eternity”, “Prophet”, “Lean on a tree of you planted”, “Movlana”, “Mother, take me to tomorrow”, etc.
